Advertising F.A.Q.’s

Potential Advertiser Questions:

1) How long does it take after I signup before my banner is displayed?
1a) Once you signup for an advertising plan, PayPal instantly sends a message back to our server to confirm that payment was received.
You will be emailed within 24 hours to setup your banner, and to discuss your needs.

2) Can I change my banner throughout the duration of my advertising campaign?
2a) No. Currently, the Banner used during the 1 month session will be static.

3) Can I have multiple banners be displayed in the same advertising campaign?
3a) Yes, you can have up to 3 banners in rotation per advertising plan. Every time your ad is displayed, our system will randomly choose one of your banners to display.

4) What are the banner width, height, size, and file type restrictions?
4a) Each advertising plan has specific restrictions. These are listed on the advertising plans (above).

5) Are there any restrictions on the content I can show in my banner?
Yes, we do have certain restrictions on the content that can be in a banner, however these are all common sense rules that should be observed on any website that is targeted for people of all ages. Banners must not contain any nudity, sexually orientated images, vulgarity, racism, negative comments directed at specific people or manufacturers, or anything else that may be deemed as inappropriate. Any advertisers found in violation of these rules will be deactivated at our discretion without refund. If you are unsure of a banner, we encourage you to contact us for approval.

6) Can I receive a refund after I begin my advertising campaign?
6a) No, all advertising campaigns are non-refundable.

7) Do you guarantee that people will click on my banner?
7a) No, making a banner appealing to viewers is your responsibility. Banners with animation, interactivity, and appealing graphics and colors will generally get the best results.

Can I purchase additional slots to increase the number of times my banner will be shown?
8a) To purchase additional slots in our banner rotation, you must purchase an additional advertising plan.

9) Can I run multiple ad campaigns at the same time?
9a) Yes, you can run as many campaigns as you want. Running an additional campaign is done by purchasing an additional advertising plan.

10) Can I link to a banner that is on my own server instead of uploading a banner to your server?
10a) No. We require all banners to be uploaded to our servers so we have a copy of the content of every banner that has been displayed. This is done for content control and security reasons.

11) My website is non-r/c related. Can I still advertise on RCSparks.com?
11a) Yes, as long as your website is appropriate for viewers of all ages. Sites that are targeted toward and/or contain ads for pornographic material, gambling, racism, or anything else of that nature are not allowed. Any advertisers found in violation of these rules will be deactivated at our discretion without refund. If you are unsure about your website, we encourage you to contact us for approval.

12)If your advertising rate increases, will my rate be increased? Can I lock in at a the current rate?
12a) Once you pay for your advertising plan, you will not be charged for the duration of your plan, regardless of any rate increases. You may purchase additional plans and apply them to an existing plan in the admin area to lock in at a rate for a longer period of time. Before any rate increases, we will send out an e-mail to all current advertisers a few days before the rate increase occurs. This will allow you to add to your existing plan at the current rates.

13) Will I be notified when my advertising campaign is about to expire?
13a) Yes, you will receive an automated e-mail from us 1 week, and again 1 day before your term is set to expire.

14) Will my campaign be automatically renewed, and/or will I be automatically billed at the end of my advertising campaign?
14a) No, we will never bill you automatically. If you wish to renew, simply purchase a new advertising. If you wish to cancel, do nothing and your campaign will expire.

15) Can I resell my advertising space or split it with another company?
15a) No, you cannot resell your advertising space or split it with another company. Doing so will be grounds for having your account deactivated without refund. You may show banners for more than one company if and only if you are the owner of both companies. To be safe, we encourage you to contact us for approval first.

16) Can I advertise in a method other than what is listed on the advertising information page?
16a) Yes, we do offer customized advertising solutions. All custom plans will be individually quoted. Please contact us for more details or with your requirements.

17) Can I pay by any method other than PayPal?
17a) We prefer PayPal because it fully automates the entire advertising process. If you are unable to pay via PayPal, we will accept checks or money orders, however there will be an additional $20 processing fee. Please contact us for details on how to pay by check or money order.
