Axial Wraith Motor Access & Upgrades

Ever wanted to Drop a Motor out of a Rock Racer? Holy Smokes , Now ya can! When I first inspected the Axial Wraith, I thought I would have to remove the entire Cage just to get at the motor! Not the case, in fact.. a simple undo of a few bottom plate screws, and the ENTIRE transmission, Drive Shaft Area and Motor drop down for Ease of Use access. Remarkable. I did a short video for you guys.. – See more below..

So the Electronics upgrades I am doing are (of course) Team Tekin Racing products. I told them I wanted a Rock racer with Torque and they told me one of the best upgrades would be to a Brushless 13.5T with a 13mm Rotor Upgrade for torque. Also, paired with the right battery – the RS ESC would fit the bill.

The Motor is simply stunning to hold and see. They (Tekin) really nailed the “Redline” series by making the product have a fantastic physical appearance. I could go into specifics about the motor – but encourage you to check out www.TeamTekin.com for more information.

The RS ESC is certainly different than the FXR’s i have been using in rock crawling – but still has the “ease of use” buttons, and similar “on-the-fly” programming that I love about their products. An Easy read LED menu system that makes programming the ESC something a child could quickly learn.

Over all.. I have many upgrades I am doing to this rig .. and I explain some of them in an impromptu video I produced below! Enjoy my friends.. and here is a REALLY neat look at the New Flagship Product from Axial Racing!
