    E-Flite UMX Beast

Well literally just got into planes. I a Hobbyzone champ that I am using to learn on for now. Got the Heli kit build going on that I got on Sunday. Same day I got the Champ.

Tuesday morning comes around and I pop into the hobby store and walk out with a plane. You got it, wife just LOVED that lol But I explained to her how this part of the hobby is cheaper then my trail truck and drifters.

Anyways I got a E-Flite UMX Beast like the title says. Got 3 batteries for it. Very cool aerobatic little plane. I have not flown it yet. Not ready to.

Here are some photos of it.

Now I'm already planning a EDF Jet project to work on.

Haha! Nice little plane man! I have been looking at those also. Be very careful though, as you said, they are VERY responsive. One of my buddies had one at the flying field and took it up a few times. You might want to have an experienced pilot take it up for the maiden flight, and get it trimmed out, and possibly tone down the rates a bit.. put in a little expo, stuff like that. Have you been on a simulator much?

A man hasn't any idea what his soul looks like until he gazes into the eyes of the woman that he's married to. And then, if he's any kind of decent human being, he spends the next couple of days throwing up. Because no honest man can stand that image.

They are a blast, and when you get the hang of planes you'll love it. But with all micros you may want a bit of reinforcing. Some scotch tape folded over the leading edges of the wing and tail will do wonders.

I've snapped the nose clean off mine from a bad landing into someone's pickup out back of work (I fly out back with it almost daily on my breaks) but a bit of glue and it's still flying great.

And after some reinforcing tape I popped a small keychain cam on it to try and get some good video. It was pretty quick so I didn't get much usable footage, but may pop some up...

On high rates it'll spin like a drill and snap rolls are insane. I use 30% expo on it and could probably do with a touch more.

But the gyro in it makes it fly amazingly stable, tip stalls are almost non-existant, and you can come in so slow for landings I was showing off and dropping it on a picnic table with ease.
