Got my Shockwave 26 Brushless
I got my Shockwave in the mail last week. Got it out of the box and it looks sweet. I bound it to my DX3C and tested out the steering and throttle. Steering works fine but it was noisy when i tried the throttle. I've read about lots of problems with bent prop shafts right out of the box so I pulled the shaft out and checked it out. Perfectly straight. As I tried putting it back in I noticed that it didn't line up with the motor coupler. No problem, just need to adjust the motor mount. I noticed one of the screws holding the motor mount to the hull was loose. I tried to tighten it but it just turns, same thing when I try to loosen it. I emailed Horizon's support team and they said they could send me a new hull but it's on backorder until April or i could try to seperate the inner hull to get to the spinning nut. I gave it a shot but it's not gonna be pretty. So i emailed them back and asked them to send me a hull when they become available. I should get a response in a few days. It sucks getting a boat with a flaw and not being able to just take it back to the store but i must say that the customer support has been excellent so far. I have tried dealing with traxxas support before with less than satisfactory results so it's nice to deal with horizon. I'll keep you posted.

Man that's painful... Let us know how it works out.. Worse comes to worse, strip the whole lot out and turn her into a jet drive !!

If they send me a new hull and don't want the old one back it will most likely get a big ole jet drive. We'll see what happens.

I had one of those boats and boy was it fun man. Once you get it running your going to be one happy camper! They are very predictable and can rip pretty fast!
