Using custom LED lights on 4 Channel Receiver

    Hey guys,

I was wondering if there is a way to connect a custom LED lights and use a 4 channel receiver to switch them on/off. I really don't want to buy any KillerRC kits hence I'm low on cash at the moment and I'm trying to do it the cheapest way. I already got the LEDs ready, but I don't want to connect them to the battery source directly with on/off switch.

Also, is it possible to use the receiver PIN connectors to get the power? Because I've searched on the net and I haven't found the battery diagram for the receiver pin.

I'm using Spektrum DX4S DSMR radio system with 4 channel receiver.

    Thanks in advance..

Also I'll keep you guys updated in case I found a solution

Take a look through here for some details. This should answer most of your questions.

You can do it vert simple with an old servo, you just solder the LED on the wires where the servomotor are connected and just finetune it with the potasimeter (or what it was called again :P)

Turnigy makes one similar to it as well.

Aparently it will do up to 30 volts and 10 amps.

I picked up a Turnigy last week for a remote starter project (Traxxas easystart) for mine, I think their wrong on the 10. amps, more like 1.0 amps, which is still plenty for lights. I was running 2.3 amps through it and in four seconds, it was to hot to touch. Melted one of the red wire soldier connectors right off. Plus if you're using a second battery to power a device, you have to run a jumper to one of the device wires from the original receiver battery, to synch it with the receiver power. I wish it carried the rated 10 amps.

This is what I use from Dimension Engineering PicoSwitch Radio Controlled Relay Switch rated at 1 Amp. They also have a single 10A model and a duel 8A model.

Oh that's nice, thanks. I like the terminating board where you can slip wires in. Very nice.
