Question 4x4 Short Course truck or 1/8th scale buggy?

    Sup guys.
I having a bit of a dilemma. I really looking to get a new rc cuz.. you know.. RC . So I was looking at a few different ones.
    1. Team Associated SC10 4x4 1/10
    2. OFNA ULTRA LX2e 1/8

Those two are my top two choices but i just want something 4x4 and something that can get a round a track (damp, clay) and handle double and maybe triple and it has to less than $400

Yes I am in the same situation... Its a tough call. the SC truck has a higher ground clearance and is easily ran over different terrains which is making me lean towards that. But D@mn the buggies look oh so cool. bahah! Im looking at the Team Associated sc10 4x4 also and found it fairly cheap on RC Planet Hobby Store, RC Cars, Radio Control Trucks, Helicopters & Airplanes. Now it does include a 2.4 radio system but no battery/charger. Maybe you have these already?? I do not but its still cheaper than the Slash 4x4 from Traxxas... maybe this will help you in your decision making.
    Happy buying, CRISCO

I got the stampede 4x4 vxl and its awesome its fast and if you get the loop version it comes with a lipoprotein battery (obviously) if you get the other option it's cheaper but comes with a nickel battery so less battery life and they both come with chargers sorry if this doesn't help

IMO,I would say a 1/8th scale truggy would be a better choice then a 4x4 sct.The 1/8th scales are tough as nails, but they do call for lots of power to feed them.A 1/10th scale SCT don't really need more then a 2s with a high C rating to run it,but they can't hold up like a 1/8th scale.
