Whats the Price of a Used RC?

Here's the question I want to sell one of my RC's...

Here's the question I want to sell one of my RC's because, lets face it it's old outdated and isn't "fast" by today's standards. It's a Traxxas Stampede 2wd with all stock electronics and stock body, tires, etc. It has some wear but nothing some wax and water can't fix. Anyways I was wondering how much this would go for. I was thinking $100 to $200? Just a guess. It also comes with two stock batteries, tools, extra pinion and other assorted parts. I plan on using the money to help buy a 1/5 scale gas powered truck.

So i bought a truck used that looked to be in...

So i bought a truck used that looked to be in good shape but after about 10 minutes of driving its chewed through what seems to be something in the transmission or clutch so i got that fixed now same thing after another 5 minutes? im not even driving it hard...

This instantly made me hate the truck.. i have watched tons of videos of the hp being put through hell and i didnt even get to try it yet and already 2 break downs?

Is it possibly just an older model and this is something they updated? thats what im hoping anyways.. that theres something that i can buy to completely eliminate the problem and make this truck nice to own and not a money pit? it is running on 3 cell batteries because i havnt had a chance to get 2 cells yet but i figured it should be able to handle it.

Would the 2wd be good to just drive around on the grass in the backyard without any problems like it having a hard time to get through the grass?
Ok so i bought a pair of Proline badlands 2.8...

Ok so i bought a pair of Proline badlands 2.8 tires mounted on a trx rim for my 1/10 slash 2wd. They are huge compared to the stock Bf's, when i put the body on eh no go. The tires barley fit under the fender except for if i hit a pebble or drive lol. Can someone help me out here with any info on making this work? also i bought a Jconcepts ford raptor high flow body, are the fenders wider in the rear? (where i have the badlands mounted). Would it be something simple as buying body post/mount thing like the RPM ones where i can raise the body help or would i still have problems? Would the 2.2 be better? or maybe the trenchers? idk the badlands are also wider too. The other thing i was thinking of what would be a better choice of some med compound tires very similar to the trenchers or badlands, I will be doing mostly off road driving, bashing but i do drive a little on the road.

OK so a year and a half ago I decided to take our lower garden area (years unused) and decided to turn it into a casual backyard track. I've been pleased with it so far, but looking to find someplace when I can make one a bit bigger. I recently realized that I'd been overlooking a prime spot for it. We have a field across the creek that we don't use at all (except loaning to our neighbor to pasture his cows). According to Gramps he doesn't care as long as I don't go tearing thru the neighbor's fence (lol)

It'll definitely need some touching up, but it's do-able. With a brush-cutting weedwhacker, a mower and a chainsaw I can get it done. Might be able to do the job easier with Gramps' tractor, I can handle a stickshift now so maybe I can convince Gramps. Possible summer project to do around a part-time job

I'm a noob and you may all know but for Americans even better with free shipping but us Aussies get charged like $20 on most American eBay stores.
Well I found RC Cars & Trucks, RC Helicopters & Planes - A Main Hobbies and they are awesome for us! Especially for things like tyres when it comes to shipping cost! I'm going to order some Slash Goodrich tyre and rims and a set of Pro-Line trencher SCT tyres as shipping to us is only something like $1.60! A set of pre mounted Goodriches is under $40 delivered.

Just thought I'd let you all know and hopefully save us from getting ripped off too much! ;)

I have a Tamiya Blitzer Beetle that I use as my...

I have a Tamiya Blitzer Beetle that I use as my main basher. I upgraded the motor to a Traxxas Monster 21T just to give it a bit more kick without frying the basic ESC that the kit came with. The motor gives TONS of torque (and stays room temperature no matter how hard I run it) but I'm after a bit more speed.

I know I want to start using larger pinion gears on the motor to get more speed. I use to do this with my old Blackfoot, so I know to make small changes and watch for binding and motor heat. However, the gearbox on my Blitzer Beetle only has two holes for mounting motors; in other words, the motor is always in the same possition. "Step 5" on this page shows a perfect image of what I'm dealing with; TamiyaUSA.com - Building the Blitzer Beetle .

I went to my local hobby shop and looked for some type of adjustable motor mount. Years and years ago I got one from a company called BoLink, so I know they exist. But the shop didn't have one and the guys there didn't seem to know what I was talking about. Searching the net has given very few results (none).

So do most other cars/trucks these days come with more motor adjustability built in? How does everyone else switch pinion gears up and down in tooth count and re-adjust the motor position?

Hey all, I'm looking to buy a short course truck...

Hey all, I'm looking to buy a short course truck here pretty soon. Tired of my Stampede (While it's great around the yard) breaking suspension arms and flipping at the track. So here's the long-asked question, What's the best SC Truck for around $300? I've already done some research of my own and I'm leaning toward the Team Associated T4.1. If anyone has any suggestions, please say so!
Thanks

So I want to build a short course track in my back yard. It's flat and open. How big should it be? I know that's a general question but I hope someone can help... I'll list out a few more specific questions. How wide should the track be? How tall should the jumps be? How do I form the jumps? How do I form the banked turns? How do I form the whoop section? I'm sure there are more questions I will have but I can't think right now... I will have use of a skid steer and a skilled operator so it should be fun!

Hey guys so after jumping my Summit over my back...

Hey guys so after jumping my Summit over my back fence yesterday after the run I noticed that when I flicked the switch to change down to low gear nothing happened. I took the body off and tried again but the little servo wasn't moving at all. I checked the diff locking switch and they all work fine it's just the high and low gear servo. I am pretty sure that it is the servo that is busted so I am looking at buying a new one but does anyone know which port in the receiver it goes to? So I don't have to pull each one of them out. Thanks

Ok so I have an HPI savage x 4.6. It's go two servos in it, an sf-10w connected to the throttle. Then I got a sf-20w high torque servo connected to the steering. Is that normal. I don't know much about electronics just confuses me why a high torque servo is connected to the steering this may seem like a dumb question but its worth a shot :)
