So i took him to our local park and i told him to do some jumps.

which you can see down here. He made 2 jumps, which the second nearly took off his leg XD

I am a total nooby to RC and I started off (by mistake) with a Losi SCTE (I am starting to regret it). The fist motor/esc combo that was suggested to me burned out after about a total of maybe 200 yard. The repaired esc I got back didn't even get that far. So before I make another mistake I wanted to ask what your suggestions to power op a SCTE 10 would be. I don't want too much power (I am a noob). Speed wise I kind of liked the Velineon vxl-3s in my daughters Slash 4x4 with a 2s Lipo, however it's already giving me trouble (no startup sound). I'm afraid I will be overpowered by a Mamba Max or a Tekin (Tekin is also real hard to get in Germany) but everything else dosn't seam to deal with weight of the SCTE. Do I wand 2 pole or 4 and the less Kvs? All the talk of kv and Terns is starting to make some sense but not quite enough for me to make a right decision - pleas help.

Nope... She is nothing special.. No high cost running gear here....
Infact she has cost me less to build then an RTR..

She started Life as a CF100 Kit... Yes.. a Kit..

I then parted out my drift Sprint 2 and moved across The M-Troniks RV15 ESC and Bought a Fly-Sky GT2 2.4ghz controller.
Installed a HPI-X35 35T motor from my OLD monster truck..( A HBX Bonzer-tiger off ebay)
Installed a Cheap TowardPro MG996R 10kg servo
A Proline Chevy Silverado shell and

I also recently added a Wireless Bulldog Winch from RC4WD mounted to proline western bumpers
The Rest is Stock.. Yes.. Stock.. No fancy driveshafts or Shocks..

Well today I was in pursuit of the PERFECT water picture..
I did a trail assesment, Looked at the flow of the creek I was near and yes, it had some current.. and I saw no snakes or Lizards, Noted where the sudden drops were
and where the deep hidden pools where in the rock bed of the creek and made a mental note.. I also realised that the creek was up a fair bit compared to last time I was there.

How easy You can be decieved !
The water was clear.. you could see the bottom... It LOOKED Shallow..
This is where I cannot stress it enough... WATER PROOF YOUR RIG !
It Doesnt matter if you use the Balloon method, Tupperware container or plasti-dip.. Your never going to know if your rig is going to go for a swim !

So the creek had the soothing sound of water flowing, the rocks were mildly damp....
Then the adrenalin KICKED IN..

I was moving my Rig into position for a photo shot... Noted the deep pool just next to the rock.. what I didn't count on..... the Slippery-ness of the Slime that coated the rocks..

The feeling you get when you see your Rig battling against current hitting it on its side, and seeing it slide down the rock and the rear wheels disappearing under the freezing cold water, your watching your rig slowly succumb to gravity and no traction, Its SHEER TERROR !!! but the feeling you get when your tyres find grip amongst the slime and pull itself out of its watery grave is just...
well a feeling of pure JOY !:haveaniceday:

I LOVE the Pro-line Flat-Irons... they are unreal on damp wet rocks !!! I will be sad when I wear them out as I know they stopped making them in a 1.9 size..

There are SO many people to thank for getting me into trailing.. We all Know Medic is the one Responsible for the MAIN attraction to trailing but there have been so many others..
If I had to list them all..... the forum would probably crash !!!!

My Rig is proof that you don't need a Big Budget to have a capable rig, you just need to know what it can do !

I LOVE my SCX10 and I want to thank AXIAL for Making it !!:in love:

and me for Building it... :evilish:

What would happen if I just left it charging overnight? I'd really hate to babysit a battery haha. Thanks guys

Hi fellow sparkers...

While doing my last nightshift I came across a video which I thought was interesting as well as informative and thought it was worth sharing. It was a video on how to remove paint from a lexan body... After watching the video I was surprised to find out that the thing that works best without damaging the body is Brake fluid. As most here would know there are various types and it was suggested that DOT4 brake fluid be used. So, I had a body with a less than ordinary paint job and decided to put this to the test. All I can say is that this process works... It might be time consuming but it works... Anyway, here is the video for all to watch... Enjoy.

Alright I just got a new titan 12T and broke it...

Alright I just got a new titan 12T and broke it in by running it slowly in forwards out of the car. Once that was done I slowly ran it in forwards only for 2 packs. After that it was fine and good. But after 1 pack all broken in and good it got really slow and as soon as I let off the throttle it poofed and let out some smoke, and didn't run. So I took it inside and I had a lot of homework so I couldn't look at it that night. Remembering that was my 6 motor I burned out 3 one that week I didn't want to tell my parents. So I sorta just left it there broken. But I looked at it today and found some odd stuff about it and told my parents. First it works but only in forwards and if you try to go reverse it jams and makes a whining noise. Second it makes A LOT of sparks inside that are green and white. Third a piece of it came out and it looks like a T with ripples on one end and feels and looks like graphite. In the videos down below it shows all this in a video.

Hi I'm new to this forum after somehow joining today, ok back on subject.

I have a HoBao Pirate MT Sport that I replaced the engine for a .28 and have encountered a few problems.

1: The exhaust doesn't fit snugly, I can't actually see the problem other than thinking the rubber seal doesn't actually seal the inside, I think this because of all the bugs and seeds swimming in the fuel that was dumped all over the chassis.

2: The centre spur gear is shredded, I honestly don't know what happened, I haven't a honest clue how to align the engine but I've done it to mesh nicely without locking the wheels up, which it does when the engine was too close to the spur gear.

But here is the thing, I'm looking for a replacement, I really and drawn into buying a 2 speed but don't know where I can find one that will just bolt in, in the same way as if I were replacing the gear normally.

If anyone knows where I can get a 2 speed box or a single steel spur gear replacement for my HoBao Pirate MT Sport it would help me massively.

Thanks for reading my mess of a first post.

SUSPENSiON Axial Exo Terra buggy rear shock relocation.

Just gonna post this so if anyone with an exo wants to try it.

The rear shock relocation set typically will reduce your over all travel a hair. Not much though. It may even lower the rear down a touch depending on your set up. If that's the case and you need more ride height you should have enough compression stroke in the shocks to add longer rod ends to give you more droop travel, and a higher ride height. It also helps with nose diving. Go light on the oil. With the new set up some guys have been running 40+ oil back there still. Pretty much anything under 35w oil is recommended with the new shock location or it will end up being a bumpy ride. Do not try to reuse the stock lower mount with this set up or you will end up sitting really high. Mount them in one of the two holes in the a-arm for best performance. I used STRC shock braces for extra support. Here is a few pics.

Strc brace...

Found this post and thought that I would share it, can you relate?

You Know You're Addicted to RC When...

-The power bill went up 25% due to your charging station.

-Everywhere starts to look like a potential bashing spot.

-Quality time no longer includes your spouse.

-When packing for a trip, you'd leave the extra change of clothes behind so you can fit the r/c gear in the suitcase.

-You routinely fly your R/C....but it doesn't have wings or a propeller.

-When it comes to R/C parts, you have spares for the spare's spares.

-The Lhs will stay open for an extra hour if you call ahead.

-You'll do a weekly tune up on your R/C, but the family car barely runs.

-You've never walked to the store, but if the battery pack is fully charged, you'll make excuses to go.

-Lunch break is often launch break.

-Clothes are on the floor and r/c parts are in the drawers.

-Your eBay feedback score hit triple digits in under a year.

-You've given pet names to all your r/c's.

-You can't help but chase all small animals with your R/C vehicle.

-You plan your work schedule to coincide with the lhs's hours of operation.

-One power bar isn't enough for your charging station.

-You start to feel guilty about not using the old nimh packs that still hold a charge, so you top them up, but still never use them.

-You start to think of ways to use your r/c to do chores.

-You'd never settle for a lipo pack with only 45 mins of runtime.

-Part swaps on your r/c start to resemble NASCAR pitstops.

-Your on a first name basis with everyone in the warranty department of you parts supplier.

-You now have so many lipos that you set the LVC to storage voltage.

-You're idea of getting lipo has nothing to do with losing weight.

-It would take an entire weekend to fully charge all your batteries.

-Packages arrive at the post office every two days.

-If your P2de came to life, it would beat the crap out of you for a while...on every type of surface.

-Your dog has developed a taste for R/C tires.

-You have to keep a list to know which packs are fully charged.

-You now consider your significant other to be your R/C vehicle.

-There are tire burnout marks on the Lino in the kitchen.

-Lhs owner sends you a Christmas card containing a list of all the new arrivals.

-People start to think you're a heavy smoker cuz you're always talking about going through 2-3 packs a day.

-When the forum is down for more than two days you check yourself into detox.

-You have r/c modifications named after you.

-If your forum posts total were dollars you could retire early.

-You dream of using servos to make everything remote control.

-You own r/c's that you've never driven.

-The ring bearer at your wedding was an E-Maxx.

-The lhs owner just bought a new Mercedes and you're three payments behind on your Kia.

-A crowd gathers when you bash.

-You're X-mas wish list is a Traxxas exploded view.

-The only thing you've cooked in the last year is tires.

-The Lhs owner comes to you for parts.

-When strangers approach you while you're bashing, you can recruit them into r/c in fifty words or less.

-You recorded over your wedding video with speed run footage.

-You can build another complete r/c vehicle in a couple hours without buying any parts.

-Your r/c gets it's own seat in the family car, and you're willing to leave someone behind to keep it that way.

-You're willing to go out in public with a camera strapped to your head.*

-You're always getting lost cuz your gps unit is never in the family car anymore.

-You've read this whole post and can relate to almost all of it!*

I know I have been meaning to get this done for a little while (Since Last year)
but with the falling apart of my film crew (A mate of mine who decided that our friendship wasn't worth anything to him)
The lack of co-ordination with the others... and the lack of Rain for the water to go over the weir....

HAS FINALLY been rectified..
I got another mate who is madder then I am and is dead keen to help get this done...
I have good news that since winter has now arrived... So has the rain so the weir is flowing again..

Now all I have to do is get a Fishing net, the Crew together, and be prepared to sacrifice a Boat to Davey' Jones's locker and we will do it !

This is a pic of the location.. Its hard to access with all the reeds but it can be done...
Its most likely going to be a one way trip for the boat lol...
One shot, One take... It will either be an Awesome jump or a spectacular fail.... Either way.... I will be totally satisfied..
