Hey guys. let me start by saying this build is already complete (over a year at least). but i've had so many questions about this build i thought it would be nice to post the step-by-step build process here, at RC Sparks.

its came to my attention that the original build thread is now only fully visible to paying members of the forum where it is now. I will post replies over the coming days, close to the same manner as the original build thread.

thank you

well its been awhile . but wait to see what i...

well its been awhile . but wait to see what i have instored for this project.
i started with a bruiser stock chassis
i cant use the center cross member, or the front cross member

rc4wd has dual shock mounts for the tf2, but you can also put them on the bruiser chassis. i only had to drill one hole

today ive install a 12mm hub convesion kit made by rc4wd part # Z-S0107
this will let me put any style tire and rim on it. but if you deside to keep the stock axles , rc4wd also make a new style rim for the bruiser only
Z-W0030
also if you look closely, you ll notice that all the white plastic parts that come with the bruiser kit is black . tamiya makes a complete black set

i picked up some rc4wd 90mm shocks (z-d0002) , i beleive the red is discontinued but they do come in silver and black
ive installed 2x in each corner
also the hub nuts match (Z-S0756)

Well since getting a Wraith back again I have really been thinking about getting another 6x6 going. So I have finally started to drill out holes in the chassis although I am running ideas threw my head each day so its not a very fast build by any means. Going to try and cut and grind up any pieces that I might be needing so it should be fun. I have fitted the front axle to the chassis to get a rough idea of what I am looking at. I like, and can't wait to get a tranny mounted along with the back end assembly. Here are a couple pictures of where I am at.

Still not sure what body I plan to run on it ether but I am thinking the green one as I have never used it before. :4modsmerc:

Got an idea in the car the other day! wonder how fast you can run with a road truck with a trailer.
The idea never disappeared from the brain. so now I have purchased some stuff to the project.
It gets a little bigger than a standard 1:16. think it will be skala1:10, cab shall be extended by one slept cabin.

it should have a tiltable hood! so you can see the V8. yeah I have ordered a V8 from rc4wd. to see if it is possible to put a brushless motor in it!
what do you think?! can it do 63 mph!

Project Pegasus!!!
Image:...

Project Pegasus!!!

Project Pegasus started its life as a axial ridgecrest, then after a while I tore it down and made The Super Honcho!

Then a few months later I tore it down again! And didn’t do anything with it for a month or two because I hadn’t really decided what I was going to do with it yet. Then I came across MrRangerover1996’s youtube channel and saw this video - Custom RC 6x6 (P4646-6x) - Off Road Hook Up IV: Down Side Up - YouTube
I wanted one the moment I saw it!!! The next day I started ordering parts. Also at the same time I didn’t want to copy what he did, I wanted something bigger!
Here is a list of parts I used, feel free to copy what I have built I love seeing others use my ideas!
2 scx10 frames $100
Wraith front axle with vanquish c-hubs and knuckles, axial u-joint axle shafts, and the lower link mounts flipped upside down $200
Middle axle is 2 scx10 front axle housing halfs with the little lip sanded off with ckrc crawlers hd gears( 2 sets are needed) and put together like a normal rear axle with the 4-link truss and all the rest of the stock axle parts $80
Rear axle is a completely stock scx10 rear axle with no upper link mounts $45
All 6 links are made from 8-32 allthread with 3/16x.014 aluminum tube slid over it with rc4wd plastic bent link ends. The other 6 are can be made the same, but mine are vanquish titanium wraith links $30
The transmition is a scx10 trans with all steel gears $60
1 rc4wd semi transfer case part # Z-U0026 $40
Level 3 dual motor mount $20
2 Tekin HD35t motors $100 with 15t pinion gears
1 Traxxas evx-2 esc $120
3 rc4wd mega truck driveshafts 80 – 110mm $90
1 mip drive shaft for wraith front $30
6 Stock wraith shocks $?
10 2.2 rc4wd irocks and gmade wheels $160
Oh my…. That’s $1160.00 With a radio!!!
The amount of fun ive had with the truck and the looks I get from people walking by $ Priceless!!!

Here are some stats!

Weight 14 lbs currently
Length 30 inches
Width at rear duals 15 inches
Width at front axle 12.5 inches
And its 11 inches tall
With 4.25 inches ground clearance at the frame

Picture time!!
