I am in the process of building a Sprint 2 Drift. I am just waiting ofr all my parts to arrive. I have a bunch of alloy parts from Hong Kong that are due in any time. It is taking forever...

Anyway, post pics of your Sprint 2...

I will try and get some pics posted as soon as the build progresses

I just bought the rtr Sprint 2 with the Camaro body

still stock till I learn to drift a bit better plenty o speed for me!!

I bought that same one too... I upgraded the ESC and Motor with a Novak Havok Sport with Novak 8.5t brushless motor. Futaba 3PM...and more to come...

I have the same chassis i put a yeah racing brushless setup in it. Need to get a one-way dif for mine still, I will take some photos this weekend when its nicer out and post it. Custom rims on it. I have to put the lights back in it though as i took them out and put them in my scaler lol

just went for another session down the road. fun fun fun, heres mine.
new bod, had a beat down mazda body when i got it, picked up two subaru bods on the weekend, clear and uncut, $5 EACH!!!

I have close to 20 bodies... What ones did you want to see ? Skyline, Mustang, Hiace Van, Lamborghini ? What ?

You dont need Brushless for drifting..a 27T to 19x2T is fine.. Hell on polypipe tyres you can drive a silver can !

1.HPI Lancer Evo 6 done in green to gold flip.
2 HPI Subaru done in a Pink to Blue fade job
3. Stock HPI R32.
4. Rare as R33 Shell in Purple.
5.HPI 200mm R34 Drift Dragon.. Basically it has Silver Paint, Black Bonnet and custom Dragon Decals.

Dont ever make me choose the top 5... Its hard !!!

This was its maiden voyage.

Quickly had to change things up and got me this

My first time doing a body, hand cutting the decals out, think it came out ok

You can order them at r2hobbies.com - they are a company in hong kong.

The particular kit shown is their disc brake accessories kit, came with a full set of 12mm hex disc brake wheel adapters, two sets of wipers, two exhaust cans (shown above), a plastic intercooler (shown on the mark II), a set of mirrors, a "shark fin" style antenna, and some other stuff i cant think of lol. The kit is well worth the cheap price, a little cheasy on the detail but it works for an rc car.

One suggestion if ordering from them and your in the states, pay for the EMS shipping. My friend waited two weeks to get stuff with regular shipping and i waited 5 days.

Okay, so it has been almost a year and I have been prolonging this project for way to long. It has been almost a year since I posted this thread and I have yet to post any pics. Well, I finally received all my parts from Hong Kong after 6 months of waiting. Apparantly my package got lost somewhere. But I am happy it did come in.

It took me a whopping 8 hours to put the car together from the ground up!!!

The car is not yet finished, but it is a rolling chassis. I still have to upgrade the shocks and put in the electronics. But enough talk... Here are the pics so far:

When I decided to start this build, I did not have any plans to go "overkill" on this project. If I knew how much I would be spending after completion, I would have probably invested in a higher end drift chassis. Be that as it may, I have no regrets on cost or time spent on my S2D. It was a great build and I love the S2D... So with that being said, here is my part listing to date. There are a few items on this list that are not yet installed on the car, but as soon as I have any updates I will post more pics.

Converted it to brushless after the 15t shit the bed. Way more better now. Waiting on a Soarer body and more tires/wheels.

My Sprint 2 Drift was fun while it lasted, then this happened:

The LiPo clicked once (my 1st experience with LiPo's) but I knew it wasn't right. I took it outside it clicked again and went up into flames. Very cautious now, I really don't care to lose my new house.

So it's been replaced by a Team Associated TC-4, Castle ESC, Tekin 13.5 brushless, Airtronics MT-4 and that Lexus IS-F Prototype LM body. A Tamiya 2006 Subaru WRX is in the process of being painted and lights being put in (another new experience for me) but I need to order wheels and tires. The IS-F is a 200mm and the WRX is 190.

Yeah I think it was probably a noise from expansion of the case around the cells. Either way, it sucked but I definitely learned my lesson.

Been driving the hell out of it recently. However most driving is done indoors on a smooth and clean surface, so no worries

Here are some more pics of my S2D. I still have some work to do to it. One would think that with all the upgrades on this, I would at least have a set of decent shock. I know I know....shocks should have been one of the first upgrades... Oh well... That is next for her

I am also gna change the body from the GTR to something more classic. Stay tuned

Guam, that car is 98% badass, but you lost me with the split wire loom over the larger cables. My suggestion would be to find purple 12ga wire and replace the red for the battery, heat shrink the caps to those wires and for the motor/esc wires run some combination of purple and black or all one color. Another little thing is to delete the on/off switch and just use the battery being plugged in to turn the car on.

I use zipties to route my wires, its simple and clean... and cheap

Damn, seeing that lipo gone wrong makes me worry about switching over to lipo. How does one prevent that from happening because I would be royally pissed if my well spent money burnt to crisp D:

On to the topic though, I bought my S2D 3 days ago and I am having a blaaast learning how to drift. I have a stock camaro body for right now but plan on upgrading the body real soon. I wanted to know, is it difficult to install led lighting onto the body because I want mine to look more scale and realistic.

how promising are the sprint 2 drifts?
Are they the same as the sprint 2 sports?
if not what are some differences?
shoul i get this and tune it for drift and in-road use?
i heard the sprint 2 sport is the same as this just re-tuned and can drift just as good as this out of the box?

So far my Sprint 2 has been very reliable. I haven't ran into any problems yet.
When you get the RTR package(if you do) switch out the charger because waiting 6 hours for a full charge is ridiculous lol.
The S2 Sport can be converted to drift I heard by switching out the tires. I however being new to RC just bought a drift chassis.
I've been having a blast with my S2D, whether it's practicing in my garage, in front of my house. Haven't gone to a parking lot yet, not going to until I upgrade my battery.

Camber......... easy bro!!! its on the top of the rear hub carries, the turn buckle there, and on the front, its ontop of the "C" hub. dont get confused with the one for the "toe" adjustment (on the steering). just looking for a pic now for you.............

on the front, its this one, the one ontop, not the turn buckle on the steering rack
