    finnaly.... back into the hobby

well after having my tamiya big wig fall aprt from age, and my rustler get run over and totalled i finnaly am back into the hobby.

yesterday i picked up a traxxas 1/16 4wd slash. heres how its set up.

    traxxas xl2.5 ESC
traxxas titan 550 12 turn motor (its one of the newer slashes).
    traxxas mini water proof servo.
fly sky FS-GT2B2.4 GHZ controller. with a chargible lipo battery in it.
i dont know what the reciver is as ive never opened the reciver box yet lol.

it runs on a 7.2 nimh (the traxxas mini battery).

and something else its got that nether of my other cars had is......A BODY. non of my other cars had a body o them lol. some thing else thats improved is run time.

this little thing isnt fast (at the moment), but it has lots of touque. it had no problems climbing a ice covered snow bank that was about 9ft tall and on a 45dergree angle. the thing was lots of fun.

now i just need more speed. im already looking into getting the brushless system and some lipos lol.

i would post pics but i lost my SD card for my camera lol.

    Welcome back to the hobby!
I have a 1/16 Slash too, but extended to a wheelbase of 240 mm, it was great fun until the main drive shaft got bent. I have no idea of how but it did... so I'll have to buy a new one. It was the exact same thing with mine, it had alot of torque but it wasn't that amazingly fast!
