Seems to slip then grab would b slipper clutch correct?
could u be more specific?
When I give it throttle motor will spin then it will finally take off like it slips then grabs
First thing to check is slipper clutch.
May have broken or lost a pad.Is it a stock drive train? As in 775 and evx 2?
There is some slack in the drive train it allows for the two speed trans to have some play for shifting
I looked everything looks good and in place and yes everything stock on it except tires and is there any servo that replaces the 2065 for the high an low range I had to replace one already
I would buy a savox or hitec servo
The micros when set up properly usually don't give to much trouble. They are not really under any load or shouldn't be.i changed to a single steering servo
As the stock are just not
Up to the job really, add bigger tires and they will not live for long
.The friction disk can get glazed from slipping to much . usually a clean and deglaze with some fine sand paper will help get some grip back.
Tighten until the spring just colapses then back off a quarter turn.fine tune from there.
Do not over tighten as it will bend the disk that holds the slipper pads and cause uneven pad contact.
Thank you guys very helpful
I have also a question about Summit pls help.
I have the same motor and ESC as Medic (RCSPARKS), 2x Kershaw design 700, and always when i using it with Lipos ( 2x 2s 5`000 mA ) the Esc and the motor where always in short time very hot. Is that normal? or is something false pls help also PN. Thanks
Check every thing for binding. The easy way is to remove the pinion gear . and see if the wheels roll easy along with the gears. If it feels snug or to hard to turn . u start disconnecting things until u find the issue. If the pinion spur mesh is to snug it will cause binding . if there is no binding then the gearing may need to be lower. By using a smaller pinion or larger spur..
A guess is somewhere close to a 4.0.
To get this number simply divide the spur gears tooth count by the pinion gear tooth count.
My cousin had the same issue with his 1/10 castle e-revo. It was getting super hot fast and seemed to roll decently... Ended up having the pinion gear too tight to the spur gear. With out just the right amount of tension either you'll strip spur gears or if too tight it'll get hot fast.
Gita find the perfect mesh
I had the same issue on my stampede! The motor would scream under pressure but the tires weren't spinning. My pads were fine. I ordered the slipper clutch rebuild kit and it seemed to do the trick!
