Hey guys, looking for some advise on what replacement shocks to get for my Wraith. The stockers feel perfect, but I blew oil out of one of the front ones today. I want to upgrade all 4, any suggestions for upgraded shocks that are similar to stock or maybe softer?

    Thanks guys

Well, if you like the stock ones then why not stick with them? You can easily replace the oil with different weights stock is 30 if memory serves and if you'd like a little softer then either play with weights or better yet just grab a piston with more holes (try 3 holes) with lighter springs...I used 3 holes, with 30 wt (silicone oil) and 1.04# springs up front ant stock in back (but I'm running a pretty heavy 3s battery so you could play around with spring rates to get what you're looking for)...take a little sand paper to the pistons just to smooth out some flashings and that'll take care of any stiction you might be getting in stock form...

really depends on what you'd like to do with the truck...I know gmade makes a nice quality shock but you can find a ton of others as well - the cool thing with gmade's is that you can go with a sprung setup or a droop setup using the same housings...pretty cool if you like to change it up a bit.

Thanks guys. Has anyone experimented with longer or shorter shocks 94mm, 104mm, or 124mm?

04mm is mostly for scale I think and I know that the 104mm is for crawler mostly but I am sure the 124mm is for something like a super crawler. I would say go for a 104mm since its a mid sized shock. I just ordered some 104mm G-made Zero shocks and I can't wait to see what they are like all for like $50 bucks!!!

    Thanks for the info.

The gmade shocks look sweet. I just ordered new Axial aluminum bodies and caps for my stock fronts, and a set of 4 softer springs for now. But let me know how the gmades turn out, I think I am gonna modify my shock mounts a bit and get the longer ones next.

Level3 RC Wraith Shock Droop Kit [wr-01] - $13.49 : CKRC Crawlers, RC Rock Crawlers

This might make enough room to run the longer springs and retain the same bottom mounting points and roughly the same suspension geometries...

New shocks, fronts - 1.75# spring, metal bodies, caps, and retainers...
turns out I didn't even need new front components, the friggin front passenger side shock was missing an o-ring from the factory, I could have just bought the springs... if your wraith shocks leak check for this o-ring...

And when you order the spring retainers, make sure to finish machining before you install them, not impressed with axial at the moment...

The rear shocks I went with shorter prolines for weight distribution...

    good stance

Ride height / stance is looking good, once I install the droop kit I should be looking perfect with the body installed

I think I like the white wheels better, what do yall think, white or black?

    I like the white...
