Youtube – Importance of a Thumbnail Picture
Posted by RCSparks in RCSparks Chronicles on March 18th, 2011 | No Comments yet »Well today the RCSparks studio celebrates having produced another video that has been viewed more than 500,000 times. On this occasion, I think its important to mention to other Youtube RC video producers how a well chosen thumbnail picture can help assist in getting your production – and your RC – viewed by other enthusiasts of the hobby.
This is the video that hit 500,000 views earlier this morning.
If you would like to read more about this.. please click on the word “More”, below.
Though this video is about a Beast of an Radio Controlled Monster Truck – the model is a Team Associated MGT 8.0 – I wouldn’t really consider this to be “one of my masterpieces” in video land. And really.. the video is almost 2 years old. The 500,000 views did not come “over night”. But.. the views are way above average for the “normal” style of video that it is. I think a culmination of things worked for this video. The Truck, The written messages, the content and the Thumbnail picture I was able use. Not to mention.. you get to see a few jumps.. !
For the people that are choosing which videos to watch while surfing Youtube.. the first thing they see.. and judge the quality of video by – is the Thumbnail Pic that is a Snapshot of the video. Youtube gives the normal producer a choice of 3 description picture that are grabbed from random shots of the video. Try to choose the one with the MOST appeal to YOU! If you like it.. chances are quite a few others will too
Happy producing Everyone!
