So this is a carbon body from PCR in the UK and is made with impact resin so it doesn't shatter. it is also lighter than the losi 5ive body and 18 times stronger and if repairs are needed they are easy to do.
I will show parts that make this truck 10 pounds lighter than the losi 5ive that you buy in the stores.
I should point out that this build cost insane amount of money to build

The shock towers I made from sheets of carbon fiber that I bought from ebay.
[IMG] In the front I epoxied the 2mm to 4mm so that it is very stiff.
I tried different shocks in this build which was costly. I should have just spent the money that was needed the first time. The first set was the Redcat XBE shocks. there went 100 bucks. then I tried some
aftermarket LST shocks, they look cool but are compete junk and that sent be back 130.00 So after that I broke down and built the TEAM LOSI 5ive shocks that I wanted in the first place!

The Quick Change diff housings for this build came in last after the build was done. I wanted to be happy with the build first. I know with the power that I was running that I would need the strength that they would give this build.

The chassis was made from 5mm Kaiser T-6 and is not bendable so it was cut and TIG welded to get the shape I wanted.

The motor you see is a Skyrc X524 2Y 910kv and is a BEAST! [IMG]

    [IMG] [IMG]
The esc is a 200 amp that is designed for this motor.

I wanted to show the types of hubs that fit this build. the gun metal piece is a redcat xbe after market hub that uses the stock size bearings and the black hub is the 7075rc piece that uses a larger bearings.
The rear hubs are the same way. [IMG]

The motor mount is only one of two that have ever been made and the other is on my XB-E and is the reason I started this build.

These are the wheel hexes that are 24mm that will hold the Losi 5ive wheel.

The front turn buckles are titanium and I used losi turn buckles that are titanium as well in the rear.

The Losi cage cost over 200.00 but is the reason I wanted to do this build. It's light weight for it's size and very scale.

This is some early pictures of the build. I needed to build a longer chassis when the cage came in. My pets are having fun until it moves and then all bets are off.

This build has a rear bulk head and it is used to help hold the rear tie rods and stiffen the chassis as well as the center spline that is made of carbon as well.
I may not have needed it but with big horse power comes big wrecks! I also didn't know how well the tie rods would hold up in the carbon fiber that is going to be used.

Here are the rims and tires I ordered for this build. I like the black instead of the gray's
    [IMG] [IMG]

The tires from RC4WD are fronts and called Desert Reapers.
I later bought orange and green outer bead locks.

I started building the carbon pieces for this build. The parts are the center spine that is made from 2 pieces of 2mm carbon that is epoxied together and also the shock towers that I designed to use the rear losi shock on all 4 corners so the shock parts are all the same.

I used Gorilla tape to protect and to add color and looks to the body.

    [IMG] [IMG]
The rear shock tower has a cross brace I made to keep the shock mount from flexing

[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] With the camera set low with the chassis you can see that this build has a very low center of gravity.

Thank you it has me thinking of how I can top this build on the next one.
I'm looking to do a Losi XL buggy next. I will be a gas build with trick parts all over it.
