So I've really been thinking about buying an fpv system in the future....
I was wandering what is a good fpv setup just start out with?
I have a few ideas for what I want to get:

    Camera/Vtx
    http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...nd_FPV_Tuned_600TVL_Camera_Combo_NTSC_2_.html

    Receiver
    http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...5_8Ghz_FPV_Receiver.html?strSearch=quanum rec

    Googles/monitor
    http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...with_Monitor_KIT_.html?strSearch=quanum goggl

    Antennas
    http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...f_Clover_Antenna_Set_for_TX_RX_SMA_RHCP_.html

I was wandering if anyone has any other suggestions?
I'm also going to be using it on some of my surface rc's
So something that is pretty tough and can handle some bumps
I do have a budget so nothing over the top...
    Thanks!

Honestly, if it's something you think you will stick with, get the best first. No sense in buying gear twice. Granted, budget and interest play into this. I jumped right in with a FatShark Dom SE goggles and the video Tx and Rx from Immersion. I find personally that when I have gone cheap to start with, I just end up spending more in the long run. Just my 2 cents lol.

Thanks! I was thinking it would be good to start out with cheaper stuff because I've never done anything fpv before (could brake cam/vtx) Also I don't have that much time to drive rc's over the winter season so when I have a chance to run one of my rc's I don't know if I would want to run it normally (bashing, speed runs, ramping, etc) or go slow and easy to run fpv. So personally I think cheaper would be better to start out with. Also, its pretty good stuff for the price. The onlt thing I may up grade would be the googles (maybe if I get a gopro switch to a gopro fpv setup) so its a pretty good starting point. On the last note I want to be putting it on my rc truck so it doesn't need to be supper nice picture or small and light

I know this is an older thread, but I'm curious how you made out as I'm looking at doing the same thing in my Exo

I honestly haven't gotten any fpv stuff yet... Cash has been tight, and other thing are higher on my priority list at the moment... If I can get my crawler to sell I might be able to get some fpv gear... But for now its on the back burner

Simple solutions now for a quick FPV setup...
Hobby King's self contained camera/transmitter/antenna that just hooks up to a space receiver channel. Held on by Velco.

Banggood has a FPV receiver that plugs into your Android device and makes it the camera screen.

Total is about $50USD (plus shipping/duties/time)...

That looks like it'd work well for a start. Is there a mount that will attach a phone to a car remote control?

My only issue with that is it would seem like you would have a lot of latency because the fact its running through a phone and not to a monitor...

I know that for a 2 stick transmitter there is...
    https://www.banggood.com/FPV-Phone-Holder-Clamp-Monitor-Mount-for-RC-Transmitter-p-990039.html

Otherwise you could probably kitbash/adhesive a universal flex phone mount. Or pat thru the nose for an IPhone version... http://www.sportys.com/pilotshop/ip...iversal-phone-mount-with-flex-yoke-clamp.html

    That gives you an idea...
