One problem was when i installed it and flexed, one side hit the nut on the four link. I will be lengthening it so the rear sits higher but i don't know if there is another way to fix that

I was trying different things out on the cantilever kit and this is what i came up with. I took two of the stock steering kinks and cut one end off. Then i drilled it out with a 3/32" drill bit and trimmed it a little. Then i unscrewed the stock rod end and replaced it with this one. I left it really long so in the future i can adjust it to different heights. Now i get full shock travel without any interference and i get full flex. Before the cantilever kit I barely had 4 inches of flex and now I have 6.

The Dinky RC cantilever kit is $42.50. Its hard to find and Dinky RCs website rarely has them in stock. I ended up ordering mine off of Super Shafty but they don't have them in stock anymore.

looks like an easy thing to build luckily. just a few parts off a 1:16 revo or rally or sct or you know. any one of the smaller traxxas vehicals. lol
that and some links . such a great idea tho.

Bubba J - They work great the only thing i would do is lengthen the shaft that connects to the axle with longer rod ends like i did or a longer threaded rod. It has around the same amount of suspension travel as the stock shocks but a lot more flex. I am also going to get some stiffer 1/16 e revo springs because they are a little too soft for my 9 pound truck but it seems to be fine once i tightened the preload a little bit. It also keeps everything even with the chassis rails. It has held up so far and seems to work great but they are hard to find anywhere in stock.

I am not 100% sure but I think they are the rear rocker arms from the 1/16 e revo.
