Ok like I said don't laugh. I have a cheap rc truck that I picked up for around $120 from nitrorcx.com. It is called the Iron Track Bowie aka Himoto it has a slipper clutch that I have never seen before. It is not adjustable, insted of a nut with a sping it just has a sping with a pin in the driveshaft. Ok now to the question, when I take off from a standing start the truck lurches and surges until it gets to about half speed then it runs great. Does anyone know how to fix this problem without replacing the pads and plates? Spring Mount 1 Set 3P

No need to laugh bud. But id try the washer idea and if that dont work ya think maybe ya might be able to modify a shaft that does have threads to work??? Then ya would be able to use a nut.

I have but I can't seem to find any that will fit properly without putting the retainer ring at a weird angel. With it being on th maind driveshaft I realy don't want any vibration.

No there are no threads on the shaft and to mak it worse it is an aluminum driveshaft. So threading it myselfy will probably not end well.

It could be punch control? You might have to adjust that instead. It says it has a programmable ESC.

[IMG][IMG] Ok people I am trying to upload the pictures of the slipper clutch I was trying to explain, lets see if it works. Oh and by the way I tried the washer idea agoin in a different place and it did fit without the weird angle, but it caused binding in the rear diff. so I took it out. back to the drawing board:dizzy:

    OH ok!!! its pretty easy.

take a photo, with a phone or a camera, and transfer to you computer.

open an online account with an image hosting site.

I like Imageshack.com, dont worry, its free to do so.

then click on the upload button, then select the "browse" buttom, select the photos you want to upload

down the bottom there will be an "upload now" button, that will start the ball rolling

when the up load is done, there will be all the pics you just up loaded, right click on an image, and select view image,

down the side of the page there is an "Embed image" click that, the the code you want to use is the "forum code"

then simply paste that code into the reply box, and post it!!!

heres the forums official How to thread too. might make more sense then my ramblings!! LOL!!!
