Hey guys thought I would share along a build I have been at for a little while so far. Its turning out really cool though, I hope it will fly!

I don't expect it to do anything crazy, just fly is all I ask. I plan to do the coverings in tissue paper not the new and improved style skins that are available now days. I just want to keep the cost down is most of all why. I have tissue here, along with the glue, wood, and a micro p51 brick for this thing.

Here is some pictures of my build, no plans.. hell half the time I don't even measure stuff! LOL Real freestyle you could say.

    Motor, mounted.

Any tips for this bad boy I would be glad to hear them! Thanks for taking a look at this project.

Possibly add an extra strut at the front of the rudder for strength at a 45 degree angle or so.

Also, sanding all your leading edges to make them pointy, or at the very least round them off, would be a good idea.

The fuselage stick looks a bit long. I wonder if it might work better if the plane was shortened somewhat.

Just kinda shootin' from the hip there. Looking good so far and curious to see it finished.

Hey good thinking on the strut!

Do you think I should add one to the back of the wing section heading down to the main body?

I'll get to sanding for sure then before I think about gluing on the surfaces.

Thanks! I'll have to see if the length is ok by test flights I'm thinking.. lol.

Wouldn't hurt. Those end-on joints could come apart fairly easily in an impact as it tries to twist and a little bracing should help a lot.

Did some work on this little guy last night. Here is what I did!

Sanded the front leading edge a bit, still needs more work though.

    Then braced a couple spots.

How heavy is that bird? I don't think the fuselage is long at all. Just right. Heres two documents out lining the rules for making your own plane. Hope this helps.

scratch builds are always about learning just how far you can push your knowledge.
I think she will do well as long as you fly it indoors.
now in my case I have a similar project in the works. 1 thing that I've learned is when i push my airplane knowledge, It just slaps me in the face with a 10 feet shove and splat. Make sure you balance your plane well. will be watching.
