My kid and I both have one they seem to be good units.

You may want to swap out the bearings in the portal gears to bushings. There have been problems with the bearings getting destroyed.
There is also just out on the Junfac website some front cvd joints. There have been reports of the dog bone pins being sheared off.

Other than those 2 issues I am familiar with nothing else.

Check out my thread in the crawler section for more info on the 2 issues.

Jaloos is right on the money. they are the 2 major issues, and I have had both with my R1. admitedly its a lot to do with mine being geared more towards crawling, and the way I drive.

Can also recommend the Delrin centre skid plate to triangulate the links.

Swap them out to bushings before this happens to you.

Bushings are Traxxas Oilite Bushings, 5x8x2.5mm TRA3775

I made my own servo plate right off the bat with some 3/16 aluminum.

When you go to photobucket and view the pic you can use the image code
    [IMG]
like this is but it will be all on one line, just cant do it or it posts the pic.

    OR

use the direct link and when you are replying to post find the tab that says insert image, from url tab, un check Retrieve remote file and reference locally. Then paste the direct link into that.
