I wanted to run my jeep box stock for the first few weeks i owned it to see how well things were put together from axial. Well after playing in water a couple different times now i decided it was time to do marine grease the way i like to do it. The pictures show what i found. Everything was almost dry of lube, rusted and dirty. I was not happy. Took the night and cleaned it all up, lubed it all and packed the axles with supertech. I will tear them down again in the future and post pictures of how they hold up with my style of lube. lol

Small update with no pictures. Decided to mess around with motors and gearing a little. Got 2 20t motors, a 45t motor, a 55t motor and pinions from 16 tooth to 25 tooth on the way. Hoping i can find just the right motor and gearing to get me just the right mix between crawl and cruise. I want to get one setup with the 20t motors for bashing around and a crawl setup. But while cleaning my rig and doing the axles.......i think i discovered a transmission problem. So tonight i gotta rip it apart and at least clean it, at most replace all the gears. lol

Titan 21 turn with stock gearing works swell with a 2c lipo. Recommend it.

Thanks for the suggestion. The stock wraith 20 turns are about the same price as titans on ebay so if nothing else they make cheap replacements.

The 45 and 55 turn motors have arrived! Putting the 55 turn in tonight.

Edit. Got the 55 turn put in and am super happy with it now!!! Before i could make my rig crawl if i was very careful, but it was jumpy and twitchy and always wanted to move to quickly for a scale rig. Out with the 27 turn in with the 55 and now it is super controllable and smooth. Not to mention has the low end grunt to spin the axles in half.. lol I can see axle and drivetrain parts in my future.

Very excited for this video. It is fairly simple with not a whole lot of editing but in my opinion turned out great. BTW all filming was done driving with one hand filming with the other. :) A skill i am going to be getting much better at cause i love the way this looks.

Thanks guys for checking it out. Glad someone else enjoyed it. I am having a blast with this thing and have never had such a good time with RC before. The power of the 55 turn is just amazing, the scx10 chassis is awesome, the baja claws have impressed me and it just brings smiles to my face. I am editing the uphill video now that is part 2 to the down hill. When i first seen this hill i was going to carry the rc down and then drive cause it is just that steep, but after trying it...... i am soooo glad i did. Yes it flips, yes it crashed, yes it needed help on the way back up.......but it did 200% better than i would have imagined it would.

Poor body has seen better days and it now rocks the trail with no side mirrors....hope i dont get pulled over. lol
