If your going to have to sync the motors to prevent the chirp you might a well get rid of the escs. I imagine that one rx8 would not care running two motors.
Here's my friends Summit that I built.

Two 1518s, crawls without a care and never really clocked it but it goes faster than any Summit should.

The chirp is an admitted Software issue from Tekin. When a person goes back to ver 2.12 for the RSPro ESC, the chirp goes away! Its a Pulse signal to the Motor about the Braking function!

They are working on a software update. They say its a bug in all of the motors.. but only seems to affect a select few. They also say that its not hurting the motor, its just annoying.. lol

over kill needs a huge #@* trailer to go with it now. a flatbed that can hold 2 trucks would be awsome. but then thinking how over kill is a work truck. how about a trailer that works like a dump truck? so many possibilites to add to it lol.

oh, one more suggestion, now make it a 8x8, lol

hmm. how bought making a heavey duty fork lift attacment for it then. easily lift and push other rcs around. or even something that would clear bush out of the way to make trails. (kind like the saw loggers have on them trucks for moving trees.)

mabye put a excavator like thing on the back.

ether way over kill is awsome and will always be awsome.

I can just imagine this thing in the tug of war competition. The juggernaut would destroy any and all challengers!

Mostly because Overkill is too AWESOME!

the extra weight, power, torque, and sheer presence of this rig puts it in its own class!

Hey cool looking truck but as the engineer of HD OverKill ill say I did look in to this (one Rx8 to two motors) BuT The Roc motors are sensored (yours above are not) this is the reason your set up is working fine. so this could be done but we could not use the sensor cable and we lose low end torque etc good idea thought.
Btw Aaron is Bang on with his reply!!! its simply an soft wear error :D

Hey DJ, how's that blower coming? Just curious to know if you guys figured out the burning ESC issue.

Hey its coming :) and the esc we think could have been because the fan had a wobble and the sensored part of the esc didn't like that it could not line up the timing but idk for sure

Running unsensored keeps temps down and more torque. I know you have ti stay with tekin fir electronics, but I simply don't think the rx8 can provide the amprage needed. Mgm is a good company to look at, or castle. Hobbywing also sells high amprage esc's.

Yeah RCSparks engineering team, whats the latest on the blower?

Of course I guess since winters on its way out you pretty much have a lot of time to work out the bugs. We are just curious.
