Hey guys I've had this sc10 with no issues for about a year, now I've done it . When I was bashing on the asphalt it suddenly made a grinding noise when I went to the left. Took it apart tonight to find nothing wrong anywhere, no chipped gears, nothing . So confused And frustrated . Need some help , anyone else ever have this happen? If so what fixed it ? All help appreciated ! Thanks,

    Nick

Did you check the steering servo? Maybe there is a rock stuck somewhere in a moving part.

with the small window of time before the comp it may be best to pop in a fresh trans. idk what the trouble is. my rc 10 sounds rough if I tighten the diff to much. but the rc10 and sc10 trans have different differentials.

That's what I'm thinking , found the issue, tooth got bent and some how got bent back and it got raise some how ( see pic) gonna pick up a new diff and housing also. One for a temp and the new one for the new trans. Oh and forgot to say a aluminum trans case from integy. So basically I'll have a beefed up one and a stock one. The aluminum will be my race one and will have a ball bearing diff. Thanks guys![IMG][IMG]

I searched by your info and found a metal trans case for the sc10 so I'd say yes it will work. and you found the issue so replacing the broke gear should fix it
