I first saw RCSparks on you tube while I was researching mods for my crawler ...
then I noticed when ever I searched for fixes for my stuff .. RCSPARKS was right there...
the true discovery for me was after I found this forum and discovered...
that I could show up here 24/7 and participate ... and the villagers were not waiting with pitchforks and torches to drive me away;)

I was watching rc cars pulling real 1:1 cars, then I seen the project overkill build series. After that I was hooked.

I found RCSparks from just searching around on the internet looking at rc cars. I then saw a few of his builds and new I belonged... Then about a year later I herd him mention the forums in an episode of RCADVENTURES (btw I miss the old rcadventures intro) so I googled it and sure enough there was a forum. I liked it so much, that I got to around 75 post in the first week... Been here ever sense

YouTube of course, I think back in 2011-2012, when I was searching for reviews on RC vehicles. One of the first videos I saw was with them running on the mud course in the backyard! I loved it and have watched their videos ever since. My favorite RC Adventures video is the floating Traxxas Summit w/ ice chains.

Always looking online for ideas. So many people doing so many amazing things with the hobby. I was part of a local club, but found them a little too judgemental, and there was a definite lack of respect for "noobs" and for people who weren't part of their tribe. My buddy and I pretty much severed all ties with the group, and it's nice to see a group of RC addicts (which we all are) who embrace all aspects of the hobby, and are supportive to everybody who's looking for advice, or a place to share their ideas. I watched a bunch of vids on YouTube, and the best ones were all connected to RCSparks. And here I am...

The trail running part of RC is great. You get to play with tiny trucks, and you get to spend a day in whatever type of wilderness you happen to be close to. Any ideas on what kind of rig you'd like to run? And what type of terrain do you have to run on?

You'll really enjoy that truck. A friend of mine just got his in September last year. Loves it. And if you're close to forested areas, do what we did, take a gas leaf blower in with you, and make trails. We have been doing that for years. We have miles of trail, and can spend all day running, without running the same trail twice...a lot of work, but worth the effort. Our trails are pretty much useless as bike or hiking trails, but are perfect for 1/10 scale trucks...
