Ever since picking up my first I have just loved them. Running in streams and rivers really gives you the true outdoors feel thats for sure. Here are some of my current boats.

First off runs a graupner mini drive, ~2000kv inrunner 540size, 100amp car esc with fan in box (LOL).

    It has reverse!

    Next is my yellow boat.

It runs a ABC hobby jet drive with 1800kv outrunner and 80amp esc.

I have one other but it is down right now and needs a new jet drive, flipping coins on deciding still.

This is what I ran in it for well over a year at least though, fun fun fun!

Group shot. No longer have the grey and white boat.

    Thanks for taking a peek!

I'm using all NQD Tear into hulls. They are great bouncing off the rocks, quite durable. Summer is coming fast believe it or not ( I almost don't haha).

You got it, streams and rivers are by far the best place to run a jet boat! Thanks.

I'll go threw some of my vids and post up a few of my faves soon. They are so much fun to try and keep in the flow of water!

The way I ran it was quite simple. I have a starting line that acts as both start finish.
The time starts once you cross the line and stops after crossing.
I use a main point as the objective to get around like a rock or a waterfall or something.
Then the fastest one to do the runs wins!

These boats can be found at raidentech.com along with some other ebay sellers. The stock drive is fine for running a brushless system so don't sweat about changing that right away. When do you finally break your drive there are a few options to stuff into your boat hull after that like what you see here.

Hope this helps man! Feel free to ask more questions. Thanks!

When I ran it in the blue boat I ended up sleeving where the prop shaft ran and added an aluminum impeller. These are very hard to find and I actually traded it off.
Other then that, you can mount a 380sized can onto the stock drive and let er' rip!

I have seen a few boats completely setup on a few different forums recently. Perhaps that would be an option for you Ted? All I have seen have been around $200.00... lmk if you would like some links.

There is a good selection there but for use of ease and design I fully recommend starting out with one of the NQD Tear into boats. The drives are great and when found the complete stock boats are pretty cheap.
