    Hi guys!

I'm making a mercedes truck chassis which i tend to modify later.
My plan is to first make the RC chassis so it's reliable. Then i'm adding a box and a liftgate like a moving truck.. Once i get bored of it, i'll modify it and remove the box and build something else..

Here is my build so far:

It might look like a massive pile of parts.. But they're prebuilt elements.
Once i get some parts in the mail, i can attach the front axle and steering system..

    Stay tuned!

I'm currently stuck trying to make a proper steering system that uses the lego clutch in order to save the gears from grinding if you oversteer.

    Update!

The steering mechanism utilizes a wormgear + clutched gear setup.

My brother helped me figure out this steering system together. It turned out great!

Here's a pic of the truck now as it stands:

The rear axle has two softer springs with no dampening unlike the front axle.
It's slighly longer than the original lego companys arocs model and it's fully RC now.
Already had a test run to check the suspension geometry and steering.

I wonder... Should i continue making this a normal box moving truck or modify it to a drift truck?

That's the best part of Lego, build what ever you want. I would put one of my Lego Pirate ships on the chassis and drift a pirate ship.
    Cool build.

The cab is almost complete. Just need to wait until the lower lights show up in the mail..

I'm going to extend this thread for my future projects..
Next in line is a crawler truck that's 4wd. I might make it twin motor so i can switch between FWD and RWD and AWD. But we'll see how it goes.
