Had to break it down today and rework the diffs and change the shock oil, it was gettin' old.

I love this truck more than life. ;)

She looks like a beast for sure ,,I love the roll bar/handle on this thing .
I had an LST2 as well one time .
I really loved it ,fun truck ,,had a couple minor issues that when I tried to get them fixed turned into other things that finally turned me off nitro completely .

LST's are high maintenance pieces of equipment, no doubt about that. Not for the basher that likes to spend the whole week preparing for a weekend of parts annihilation. Hahaha. Being 15+ lbs it's a lot of stress on everything when bashing hard, drive train and suspension really take a beating on these puppies. They way I look at it though, bigger is better!! :) I personally love working on these trucks, they're built in such a way that makes any repair completable rather quickly.

    Mmmmmm, PICCCOOOO.

Same here. I found that a lot of my breakage problems came from the grub screws coming loose on the center CV's. I now use the ultra thick gooey loctite gell stuff to make sure they stay put. I've found I have far fewer problems when I know my drive train has no slop in it. Your diffs take a beating the second one of those grubs loosens just 1mm. I was able to wreck a TiNi ring and pinion in one outing with a loose grub.

I had a good one happen to me this afternoon. I came home to work on the tune and 2 speed shift points, got it fired up, took it for a warmup lap around the back yard and on the way back the rear left shock was bouncing around and disconnected from the tower. The locknut backed off and the bolt fell out somewhere in the grass, lost never to be found. And unfortunately for me I don't have any extra's, lol. So no test and tune until I get my order placed at Overdrive for a few pieces parts.

Yes they are, that's for sure ! I finally got the new header on my HT Tuned exhaust pipe on my LST2, but I have to change out the spring now that holds it to the block because the old one is worn out.

I wouldn't place an order at OverDrive R/C if somebody paid me ! Your better off going through your LHS or Horizon Hobby and they might order through them as well.

i have 2 hobbyshops that i go to and they rarely have what i'm looking for,i tend to order from fleabay most of the time,my main breakage on my lst are the cvd pins, the one that holds it all together,i break them all the time,i use spare allen wrenchs to make new ones and they hold up pretty good.

Dang, I have never broken a CV pin, can you believe that? Crazyness...

Have a link to where you get yours from? Now that you mention this the first thing I'll probably break next time I'm out is one of these pins. LOL Better stock up now since I just jinxed myself.

So that brings me to the question, why not just upgrade your CVD's to LST2 spec???

i'd love to switch but i wouldn't be able to run my stock lst tires and rims with the lst2 cvds as my lst uses the stock 14mm hwx and the lst2 ones use the 20mm hex.

Not when I go through my LHS w/Horizon they don't.

Mine usually does and if not they order through Horizon for me at cost.

Yeah NOT and neither does the LST forum.......but R/C Sparks sure does !
