I recently got 2 new lipos (below) and I am having some issues charging them. I am using the ascend radiant charger and I have charged other lipos fine before but with these 2 lipos they just won't charge fully.. they will get about 1000-2000 mah in them and then it will say it's done charging. When really it's not, I get 5 min run times max with them. If any one knows a solution please let me know, thanks

    Batteries:
    Venom sport power 2s 40c lipo 5000mah

    Venom 3s 20c lipo 5400mah

    Charger:
    Ascend radiant (older green model)

Neither of them have bullet ports so I am just using the traxxas connecter

So your using the Traxxas connector and the balance plug to charge them ?

What settings do you have on the actual charger ?
Are you using mains power or Direct DC ?

    Yea the traxxas and balance.
As for the settings I normally just click lipo charge and set it to 5000mah or 5400mah and let it go, sorry I am a real noob at this so I don't know much but there are the bullet port connected and the other main ones I use the other main ones

I can't really figure out how to post a video but if you where to turn on the charger and there would be options like "life charge, lipo charge etc.." and I click lipo charge>Lipo capacity 5400/5000>confirm (5.4a/5.0a) lipo charge> hold for 3 sec and it starts charging

OK... Could be the charging via the adaptor could be causing false peaks to occur..
Alligator plugs I believe will help eliminate this problem..
Your charger comes with a standard plug on it.. or did you change it ?

It just has the standard plug and don't you need bullet ports for the alligator plugs?

You can get small alligator clips that will clip onto the poles on the inside of the standard plug..

So to make a set you will need 4 small alligator clips and some 26 gauge wire..

OK.. you have a standard plug on your charger yes (Its a Tamiya plug by any other name)
To charge anything else. you would need an Adaptor..

I have experienced the tamiya plug cause a high resistance to the charging process and cause the charger to false positive a full charge.
My solution was to carefully close the female part with a small screwdriver

Your charger defaults to LiFe mode as a safety measure. Make sure you change it to LiPo that could be why they are charging to a lower voltage. There is also a 120 minute safety shutoff.
