Removing some parts & adding 4links, & turning into an rc crawler. Heres the start...

That's great! I have one of those jeeps sitting on my workbench at the moment and want to do the same thing.
I'll be watching this one for sure.

I've never seen the trailer before, but that's pretty sweet!
Here's mine. The paint is a tad different, but it's essentially the same jeep.

I'm going to set mine up for 2.2's as they're almost a perfect fit.

I hope to start mine soon. I just moved into a new place and have an entire bedroom for my RC stuff now AND it's not outside in the shed anymore! Hehe..Thanks for motivating me, bro!

I will be running 2.8 wheels. Made from delrin, machined out to look like original wheels. And custom made narrowed masher tires.

Looking great, you have some skills and great ideas.

The only thing I would worry about is the spur gear being that close to the battery and the wiring for the electrics without any kind of shroud. I always plan for the worst case and am happy when that doesn't happen.... Over all that is a great idea and build so far! can't wait to see G.I. Joe storming a trail...lol
