i'm a big fan of multi axle trucks, and yours still looks pretty good for a 6 yr old build.

Well those were pics from when I completed it, looks pretty well just as good other then some new scratches and I pulled the cage off(was too hard to change battery with it on) I'm having some driveshaft issues right now on it, there well worn out. And I'm thinking it's time for a new body, my kid has a tonka fire truck I was thinking about using.

But I'm going to have to redesign the frame extensions a bit if that's what I go with.

but then it's no fun if you can just plop on a new body and go, and you don't see a lot of rc 6x6 offroad fire trucks, in fact i've never seen one, I like the idea.

Yah I would be cool, my main concern is it's a pretty heavy toy, I think it's going to end up extremely top heavy. Still probably going to try it though :)

stiffer springs or shocks in droop would help that out, maybe hub extenders to widen the stance or duelies in the rear.

I don't know, once you strip off all the unnecessary stuff it may not be to bad.

Started trying to fit the fire truck body today, might have to make new frame to get wheel base proper though...

It sort of reminds me of the firetruck Rammstein had in their video for Feuer Frei... Actually it matches up better than I first thought it would.

new links would be easier and cheaper than a whole new chassis, you may be able to get the length you need by just using shorter rod ends and trimming a few mm off the ends of the front links themselves

Yah I have to go through my stock of stuff and see what I have, thought about changing the link setup on the rear axle also, but I'll look into that another day.

I didn't even notice till just now the rears were off a little, you can bend aluminum links and it will "shorten" them, but you have to be careful not to break the link if you do, and be sure it's not going to rub or hit anything else, like the frame or drive shafts, that's how I did the original links on my lunchbox 4x6, bent a 3.5in link nearly 90deg so it was close to 2in.

Got the wheelbase figured out and driveshaft cut down, just need to figure out how to mount the body now.
