I received a box of goodies today!
That's my progress so far.
And for those wondering, yes I did have an SCX10 D90 build too, I decided to sell that to a good friend, along with my Wraith, seeing as they weren't getting used, then I just started missing a slow crawler/trailer, so decided to go the G6 route this time
I just love building and tinkering with 'em!
This is were I actually ended up getting to last night, I did carry on until about 3am lol, just tinkering away.
And my new wheels arrived.
SSD-RC D hole steel beadlocks, yummy. (ignore the LiPo, that's for something else)
The addiction keeps you up all night LOL! It's coming along well!
This reminds me when i built my tf2 lol
I couldnt stop
I finished it in one sitting
Yep, I don't mind though, although I live with my parents still, my Dad works nights, so I can make noise and such until whatever time I want lol, it works out pretty good.
I just love building stuff
Here's a little update as to were I'm at now...
Your almost there what motor will you be using
Heres one of my tf2
This is my basher rig hahah used and abused it and keep going
Well, here she is... This is just the basic build complete, pretty much stock, aside from the rims.
Axial 27t motor.
HobbyWing 1060 brushed ESC.
Zippy 5,000 2s 20C.
SSD-RC 'D' hole steel rims.
Oh and also, the lighter was just to test how the DIY bungee's stayed in place, I'm making a few as I'd like to perhaps get some tools in the back somehow, stuff I can actually use out in the field... Add some scale looks and saves some weight from my back pack haha!
Looks great i like the color
Thanks today I did a little bit more, just raised the shell at the front, both to make it look better (in my opinion) and also give more clearance for the tyres, so now they don't rub at all.
I've also now ordered my front bumper as well as rear, I just can't find a nice pair of rock sliders that I like
I've also fitted some 'netting' to the cage, it's actually not mesh or netting because I didn't want even square holes, so I opted for some non slip mat that I had laying around, so now I think the rear looks a little bit more complete and less plain.
Would really value some opinions on the build so far
Had her out for her first trail today, didn't last too long because of the big puddle in the last picture, it was a bit deep and got the BEC wet (only bit I forgot to Plastidip ) it didn't even occur to me it was the BEC as it was still lighting up, so assumed it was the ESC, and I came home.
Still happy though, truck ran awesome, absolutely loving it.
Felt like the kind of truck I'll keep in the boot of the car with the tx just in case we ever go anywere I can use it for a bit.
Now sadly, I dropped my tripod and trying to avoid a pile of dog mess I stood on it and snapped a leg off, so couldn't do any video, but I did get some pictures.
You sure you didnt run over your foot
Damn you have a nice place to play
Awesome looking rig
I wish i have a dirt place to play on lol
I have to make my own trail
Still figuring out how to make a table for mudding
great build....I want a crawler some day....still don't know witch one I want yet..........
I think for start with crawlers
Scx10 or vaterra
In my own opinion not to expensive and easy to work on
Thanks guys, really appreciate the positive feedback
Yeah I'm surrounded by fields and woodlands for miles, so I have my pick of trails and stuff, all right near to my house, I'm pretty lucky that way.
I received my winch today, got it all working AND I didn't get stung by customs, BONUS!
Just awaiting the arrival of my new BEC then I'll be back out in the mud!
Nice colour scheme. It reminds me my pagero
You need more mud on that water
Yep, I know I know, it's too clean lol.
Wait until the BEC is in there and she'll be back out to get dirty.
