I should be posting more pics soon
I decided to change one things on the scx10. I want to keep it scale but i want to change some things up. I decided to make it into mud truck/ crawler so I stated to narrow the bed. I like the way it looks so far better then the normal drop bed did. I am also going to re do the interior to try and make it more scale.
I still need to do more work on the body with sanding, gluing, and filler but so far I'm liking the way it looks.
I got the bed glued and bolted in place. I still have a lot of sanding and filling to do. Just waiting on some more styrene to start on the interior. I also think i am going to upgrade the shocks to 100mm or 110 mm king shocks and I'm going to replace all of the bearings.
Did most of the filling and sanding today. I still have to finish couple things up but i started thinking about a new color for it maybe. I was thinking either white red blue or grey. I still don't know if I should go with 100mm shocks again or have 110mm with a little droop. Its sitting on 100mm internal scale shocks with no droop at all and they are too stiff.
I finished sanding and painted it black for now and i think it looks nice. Im still working on the interior and i will post some pictures of it soon but here are some pictures of how it sits for now. I think I've decided to get 100 mm king shocks and 1.9 pit bulls. I like the 1.55 mudslingers but they are a little to narrow for it i think.
First day of spring and it was snowing. Got some pictures from driving it in the snow.
Just some more pictures
Sorry I haven't posted anything lately. I broke an output shaft and was waiting for it to come. I got the rc4wd ax2 heavy duty output shaft but I also decided to pick up new rc4wd 100mm king shocks. I put 27.5 wt oil and they are amazing. It has like 75% droop and I like it his it is. My old shocks held no oil and were super stiff ad springy. I also worked on the interior a little. I made a dashboard/rado and started on a cb radio. I still want to make a cord to attach to the cb for the microphone part. I also started making a narrowed tailgate.
Nice work man! Love the dash, I also really want the 100mm king shocks but their out of the budget
I normally don't like Tundras, but you have yourself a nice looking truck. I like the flat blackout except for the lights. Very nice work with your build good sir.
Hmm I kinda liked it without tailgate bt none the rest awesome tundra I don't do the toyato trucks i like the dodges Chevys and fords but this is a great looking tundra
