Hey everyone..here's my Vaterra Twin Hammers. I used it stock out of the box for a few months and enjoyed running it in the snow and on the ice. As spring attempted to come I decided to paint the body.

In a moment of madness I decided that the stock electronics had to go and I needed to make it a little faster and flashier. Here's what I purchased..

Onyx 3650kv 4 pole brushless waterproof combo

    Savox 1256tg steering servo

Blue Monkey steering brace and rear links

    Junfac xd piggy-back shocks 103mm

    Gear head Sixer 1.9 wheels

    RC4WD rock stompers

Here she is as she sits right now

Now with all the upgrades she really flies and is so much fun to bash. It keeps up with my buddies Slash..almost.

I decided it's time to match the body with the performance and now I'm
just waiting on some aluminum body panels to paint up and make her purty..:)

Thanx for checking out my rig..I will update when those precious parts come in.

That is a beast. How are you liking those shocks? I've been thinking of getting the Junfac xd piggy-back shocks all the way around as my next upgrade. I am hating on the tension rings for the stock shocks.

Thanx dude..the shocks are great..I have them set up a little stiff..I added a sway bar to the back to minimize the rollovers when taking high speed turns..and she is a lot more planted now. The ability to tune in the field is a great feature. Now it's time to do the front ones. Being that I decided to keep the 'revo' style set up..I'm going to have to goto a diaphragm to aeration shock for the front..as they don't make the piggy-backs short enough.

Speaking to that..anyone know the difference between diaphragm and aeration shocks? I'm mostly bashing and trailing with it..not sure which would preform better.

I'm going with a black and white body and red trim..the roll cage is gonna be red as well. I've got a couple different configurations for paint design in my head. Looking forward to making them pop. Being I've never painted like this before..it should be interesting..:)

So..I put the new panels on The Hammers..had to make sure they fit..also felt an overwhelming desire to see what they looked like while the truck was running..found some..er..dirt?

Wadda ya think..paint it..or leave it this color..lol

I'd buff it out to a high shine, then put a light coat of clear on it...
