What..pray tell is boracic acid..and what does it do to aluminium? What would the rusty wrench do? Does it clean off the oil and finish of the aluminum?

I know it's gonna get some damage..I'm not easy on this rig..lol..I've already bent the hood back..and it has a cool crease in it now.

Those panels look great on it.

Do you notice any change in running temps with the interior taken off?

I was thinking about running mine like that, but I don't care for looking at the rats nest of wires inside.

Thanx. To be honest..I haven't had any problems with the temp of the brushless system I have in it..at least it's never thermaled on me..and I run it hard for a good hour and a half at a time..usually in high gear.

I put the interior back on because I don't like the rats nest either. I was thinking of maybe fabricating a mesh type metal cover for it so it can breathe tho.

I still want to paint it..but I've got so many opportunities in the next little bit to run it in different places that I don't want to tear it down..lol..and haven't had the time to do it between runnings..I will say..those panels get it alot of attention..it was a good buy!

Great video. Sucks about the drive shaft. I have noticed that mine is starting to twist up a little bit. Hoping that it will last a while because I want too many other goodies. Don't want to cut into those by having to replace the shaft.

I gotta be honest..I haven't broken anything in a long while..and I run it pretty hard..the driveshaft upgrade was a good one. Altho I discovered the other day that when I screwed the cage on I screwed thru the wires running to my receiver..so..time to tear it down..clean it up..fix the issue and do some painting.

That shaft is heavy and beefy..nice..:)

A quick question. Where did you order the MIP shaft from, and how much did it cost?

I've been looking around and the cheapest I can find is at RC4WD for $26.95.

I paid $42 from my LHS..I didn't find it less than $40 anywhere else..didn't check RC4WD though. Sounds like a good deal!

I just noticed it on RC4WD last night. There is also a black aluminum front brace/shock mount.

Twin Hammer parts are starting to pop up everywhere. I love it.

Thanx..It depends on what kind of rocks you are crawling on..the belly will hang it up a bit..I usually use it for general bashing and trailing. I would love to try and race it.

Well..it's been a pretty quiet week on The Hammers front..took her apart and re-greased the diffs, changed the shock oil and waterproofed the steering servo. As it so happens my sons Crawler King fried its ESC..if it only calls for 2S don't give it 3S..lol. So..being he needs a new ESC and motor..I might as well upgrade too..:)..he will get my Onyx system and I got this....

The Hammers is gonna be really quick now..:). Paint is almost finished..just gotta add some half foams to my tires and install the Sidewinder. Keep ya updated when I'm finished. Cheers!
