After about a month of hoarding parts, I've built a snow cat

Welcome to the forum and cool build! Did you use SCX10 axles? It must be difficult to get it stuck.

this is one of the coolest scale rigs i've ever seen, what are the tracks originally for, an e-revo?

Thank you. I wanted to build something that hadnt been thought of before. Yes the tracks are for an e-revo or savage flux.

So been running it in heavy wet snow and it really powers through it! However since it draws so much power have been running 2 5000mah 3s packs in a parallel to get 10,000mah. Really cool rig.

Amongst the carnage following 5" of new snow, it was wet and heavy. This really chocked up the drive in all tge tracks and caused tracks to lock up.
All of this to say that the antarctic expedition rig had track plates for a reason. So bt next week the tracks will have covers
