I haven't owned one, but regardless of the brand, the thing to look for is parts
    availability.
It doesn't matter if you spend 2000.00 or 200.00 on an rc they all break something at some point.

So, can you run to your LHS or get parts in the mail quickly?

Redcat seems to have a lot of parts, but they are also often out of stock. I have a trailblazer xt on the way from hobbyking which is basically the same as the redcat, did a little research and it seems like redcat is rebranded himoto himoto has tons of parts and hop up kits available... ::: HIMOTORACING.COM :::

    Hope it helps.

What I was trying to say was that redcat seems to be manufactured by himoto, so parts are available, if not from redcat then from other sources. If you are in the states then you would buy the truck itself from redcat or a rebranded one from hobbyking or nitrocars or something similar. If you do a little digging, you will find the parts. It's not going to be the same as one of the more popular brands but they are out there. $299 is about as low as it gets for an entry level nitro car, unless you find a sale or a great deal on a more popular name brand used one somewhere.
But I'm new to all this and have been focusing on electrics so you may want to ask a nitro guru to help you out.

There you go Lokivapor, ask and you shall receive. If we could get nitro fuel here I would be looking at that crankbait. (well we can get it but it's such a pain most guys just run gas or electric)
