I second RPP. I have had nothing but a great experience with them including emailing them about a part and getting a response in less than 5 minutes. Not only that, they updated the page that was in question at that time. They are the first place I look when buying.

Robison Racing. has a great rep for their metal gears. MIP and Junfac are the go to drive shafts. for mega torque fit a 550 or 1:8 scale motor. ( may interfere with the interior.)
low center of gravity is important.

Does anybody happen to know if there is room under the hood to have a good sized lipo, the ESC, external BEC and the reciever without having any issues, like say the servo hitting something?

Full Size 2S, 6500mAh hard pack fits, but using the stock hood mounting would be real close. My hood sits up a touch the way I have it hinged and mounted.

I checked out your wraith build site!!
Awesome work on the light btw!!!
Im not going to be using any more lights than what comes with the RTR version of the wraith, so I wont any as much wiring and electronics to fit into the wraith.
So will the battery(good sized) ESC, and the receiver all fit under the hood?
I would really like to keep the back open if possible?

Yes, but you have to be careful on placement and sizes, but it can be done. Make look at the size specs of the components your using.

Here is a buddies Wraith, (also found on my site) with all of the electronics pushed to the front.

Is it possible to put the battery long ways where the stock receiver location then move the receiver box to up next to the "firewall" on one side of the battery and the esc on the "firewall" on the other side?

Im thinking about future upgrades and mods......
I would like to have a dig setup, independent rear steer, possibly a few more lights, and a winch.
What would be a good pistol style transmitter and a good receiver that would be able to handle all of this?
    Thanks for any info!!!!

Get the gt3c hacked 8 channel capable I run a couple 6ch rx with mine.program any button to control any channel.
    Full ch mixing
Capable of Two 8 pos switches for stepping and dual esc mixing.
I can run rear steer independent of front
and a winch at the same time plus a channel for lights.
    Still another to spare yet.
Get a 8 ch rx And run more stuff lol front and rear winches maybe....

Personally, I'm not keen on the Vanquish locker with the set screws. Using plastic axles, the universals/inner shafts need somewhere to flex. The set screws are going to inhibit the lateral movement pushing the universal out alignment with the kingpin and/or into the bearing.

I know these eliminate slop but I would rather have some give.....in the right spot.

Looks like it's going to be a cool build...lot of nice parts
